So what's the deal with Mushrooms?
 

We were camping in the Adirondacks in the summer of 2004.  Carol was taking a photography course so we had the Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera with us.  We got to the camp site, and found this interesting mushroom growing along the edge of our campsite.  It was huge.  The top easily spanned 6".  All of a sudden, our eyes were opened and mushrooms were everywhere.

We started taking pictures.  Hundreds of pictures.  Check it out, this is just a small sample of the many mushrooms (or fungi) we found within a few feet of our campsite.

Don't rely on any of the identifications!  We are just guessing.
