Description |
The Helix Nebula was formed by a star,
about the size of our sun, reaching the end of its life.
Toward the end of a star's life, the star expands and
throws off its outer layers. In the Helix Nebula you see
the star's outer layer which is expanding away from the
star and reflecting the star's light. |
